Cheaper than others I've found for cheap hosting and domain packages: they quote a price per year at what other companies charge per month. What impresses me is that they have stayed in business, stable, with no hidden costs and even some email support. Others in the same price range have gone out of business and re-started, disconnected customers before the ends of their terms, or done anything to make money. Penguin just carry-on offering a good service on my four domains.
One of their secrets, I think, is that they are a computer repair company as well. They will quote to equip your office with refurbished equipment and I guess they got started with their hosting the same way.
Another secret is a medium server speed, rather than a fast one. Penguin are ranked somewhere above the middle of the speed test league www.webperf.net . This way they are able to host dozens of sites - mainly low bandwidth small ones - on one shared server. Not the server for competing downloaders of pictures like big shopping sites, but for the rest of us fine.
