NFOservers have fairly decent ddos protection which is definitely something people look for when hosting. We hosted our own Rust server a few months ago and were pretty okay with them so we decided pay for three servers and built a community. We have lots of people that look forward to playing each week that we wipe. My husband has put countless hours into modifying the server files to be perfect. He won't sleep until he fixes something that's bothering him.
When we tried to pay recently for our 2nd month we tried using my card from NY, and it wouldn't go through so then we attempted to pay for the server using my husband's Canadian card. Their third party risk assessment company flagged us as highest possible risk due to the change in card usage (we assume) and John, the CEO is absolutely refusing to help us with figuring out why it's blocking us and told us to choose another host. This is going to destroy the community we built - IP changes often nuke server populations. We'll keep people that are on discord when we migrate but lose people who aren't on discord with us.
This is unacceptable and absolutely ridiculous. Never have I seen a company so unwilling to help us fix an issue that is on their end. Their unhelpful 'CEO' should be ashamed of his lack of compassion. He won't even tell us who the third party company is so we can contact THEM and get it resolved. John just does not care. I've never been more disappointed in a company.
