Usually I take these reviews with a grain of salt. Most people only review when they're mad, right?

If I had to use one word to describe mydomain it would be:

Abysmal.

We hosted through them using their "deluxe Linux hosting" plan for 2 corporate domains and one enthusiast site. The admins of the enthusiast site have been in contact with mydomain support several times over database issues, and general setup issues. Nothing ever comes of the communication, via email, or their -non-toll-free number.

Better still, settings that I have set have been reverted, effectively breaking our sites and it wasn't me (the only admin who does technical changes to the sites) who made the changes.

(No doubt the admins among us can appreciate how difficult it is to troubleshoot "stuff's not working" issues, when the web host is changing settings on you without your knowledge. It's like trying to hit a moving target while blindfolded and just having had your ears boxed.)

Now tonight, I come home, after fixing a couple of permissions issues on one of the domains before I left this morning, to find out that my "subscription has been suspended." which means that they've killed the DNS records on all 3 of my domains, and I have no mail and no web site traffic. ( The domains look to have been suspended sometime around 5pm (based on the last email i received), and they're not available past 6pm. Too bad I didn't arrive home and find out until about 7pm, and won't be able to talk to anyone until morning now, if I'm lucky.)

I guess that's one way to make sure I talk to them. Not a good way to treat someone who's kept their account up to date and paid for the last 1.5 years. Not a good way to ensure any sort of residual income either.

I will be moving my services as soon as I can bring up a server and move my information. This is inexcusable in this day and age where businesses can suffer huge losses and recreational sites can lose members in the space of a day.

I will be telling -everyone- I know who NOT to host with.
