I chose to come back to Jixhost, because years ago when things were bad Jose was very helpful. The other thing is they can sling mud all they want. I have just come out of a homeless abusive situation and the one thing they trained me about, along with my customer service training and jobs, is that people can be cruel when it comes to money and they will hurt you any way they can. Just had to state that as I am looking at the responces to the complaints and the responces I have received from customer service. They even sent me a link stating how to get good customer service.
I had to purchase a server because things have changed. Although softaculous is there. The RMS server for Boonex(Dolphin) that was installed on the server for alph accounts was not availble. So I opted for the server.
I waited for my money and an invoice was posted on the 5th as I requested, but when money did not arrive, I kept in contact and let them know I still wanted it and I wanted the account I had a while ago. I was 74.99 and included Fantastico and Zamfoo. So I asked for that account just like I had before. They said okay so I thought.
This what I purchased. A bill for $172.98. Which included vps for $74.99, two dedicated IPs for $24.00 each and an SSL for 49.99. Down the line I requested RV Sitebuilder and Zamfoo. I was asked which one I wanted Whmphp or Zamfoo. I asked which one was better and the responce was WHMphp.
So my server should have the following. Sotaculous which I have a lifetime for and stated, WHMphp, RV Sitebuilder. I also thought Fantastico and would have preferred Zamfoo.
From the beginning I had problems. No welcome letter and till this day still don't have one. No matter how much I request. I could not find smileyshosting.com and asked for welcome letter that would have had that. Instead in support I get root information. So now I can finally access root. Just not sure where domain is.
While this is going on I am trying to get everything setup again and seems to me last time I had the server, it was not this hard. I also had purchased a diamond account for $29.99 under the same domain name as the server. So I started contacting support. I have many support tickets over the years. Have been with Jixhost a long time off and on.
I did not realize that domain name would only resolve to server or diamond account. Now it is not resolving to anything. Not any of the IPs I have are not working. It says that my one dedicated IP that they gave me is active, it is just not connecting to my domains.
Off and on I am blocked out of my account. I disabled firewall and things are still happening. The server is useless and no matter how many times I explain something they just act like I am being an issue. I paid $172.00 for something that is not active and I cannot in the state it is in. This has been two weeks. They do not answer my chat and when they do they simply say, put in a support ticket. I cannot get them to respond to support ticket with anything but vague comments or they need something that was posted before.
Here is a good example of that. They asked me for my domain registrar information and I gave it to them not thinking anything of it. I first posted information for Godaddy as that is where most of my accounts are. I realized that I did not post other so right below it, three minutes later, I posted information for the other registrar and stated I forgot. The next day I receive an email stating that my main server is not in Godaddy. I find that to be interesting since I had already stated that.
Here is another example. I told them I would have to get an advocate to help me with this problem if we could not solve it. That is when I received that link on customer service. The truth is $172.00 for nothing is a bit much to take and to simply to act as if you have done all you can do, when I have been with this company off and on for over three years, is a bit much to take. Whe I told about the advocate and I wanted answers. Each question received and answer, but not appropriate. There was one question that I had been asking, what are my IPs. Never could get nothing but one. Then suddenly two more were posted. The problem with the last two IPs are they are not private. They beloing to other servers.
And the list goes on and on. For a minute there I thought it was me. Then I realized, as I went to another site. It is not me. Even with the things I have done. I could never get a domain not to go to its DNS. I am getting a message stating that my IP is active, but it is timing out, not conntecting and a few other things.
Quite frankly customer support no matter how big the problem means just that. If I am the worst client in the world and I have had a few. You stick with it until the problem is solved. Not act as if the problem is the client. I hate begging, I hate asking and even more I hate disrespect. I work hard at being kind and even when they sent me that link I was polite and let them know I understood. My payback for that was things getting even worse. I paid for a service and I expect that service and customer support. The support is suppose to help me with the issues I cannot solve or let me know they cannot help me and refund my money. Not take my money and leave me in limbo.
Like I stated from the beginning they can fling all he mud they want. I have the facts all my emails even the ones where they double billed me for my SSl, and two IPs. They were not even going to give them to me, until I told them what invoice to look at.
Same thing with my domain. I had a diamond hosting and vps hosting account. With the exact domain. I had stated that I was going to do a tranfer and the next thing I know I have received a bill over a week early and it took the money that was in the account and charged me the balance and when I told them, they kept saying just don't pay the bill. I had to state several times. It took the money and now I have a bill. That took days to fix.
No jixhost is not what is used to be as I rememer when a client was treated like gold and now they are treated like they don't even exist. Depending on the situation. I had no issues until I got the server and it has been a nightmare every since. Just shut my account down, have $21.00 on my account and the $172.00.
I know there is a law somewhere about this kind of behavior. Telling me absolutely no refunds.
