I've tried a lot of budget hosting companies, and these guys are great. I started with the cheapest package but ended up moving so many customer domains there that I upgraded to the $25/month reseller package, which is worth every penny.
Customer support is ludicrously fast and responsive. Uptime seems to be about 99.99% -- not quite perfect, but nearly (I've only had a few brief hiccups in the nearly two years I've been hosted there).
On rare occasions I've noticed high loads and slow performance on my server, and I sent a support request. Instead of being ignored (like other big shared hosts tend to do), Interactive Online responds quickly to find whatever is slowing down the server and fix it. Most of the time, performance is great.
A few reasons I chose Interactive Online over other shared hosts:
- A higher than average PHP memory limit (128 MB)
- InnoDB as well as MyISAM
- cPanel and WHM
In the cases where they didn't have a feature I needed (a particular PECL extension), I contacted support and they installed it on the server for me. Try that with a big shared host!
I'm rambling here, but my point is that I'm delighted with Interactive Online and wholeheartedly recommend them.
