infosaic.com got a negative review on and one official response on
D. K. ( info@n... )
We have a lot of different hosts. Infosaic is by far the worst. Our site got hacked by Lonzo, and we had a Russian Guy Picture on all our pages along with malicious code trying to put viruses on everyones computer that went there. Instead of acknowledging the problem, Infosaic blamed one of their clients. Didn't even offer a free month or anything. Our site would go down for hours at a time about once every 2-3 months. They would just say they were dealing with it. Gary would always just blame something else and say it was never his problem. Our emails wouldn't work. Comcast and AOL didn't like his settings. When we switched our new host fixed what comcast and AOL didn't like about our emails, and within minutes they started accepting our emails again. It took the new host 5 minutes to fix the problem. Gary always blamed comcast and aol instead of looking into his system and trying to fix the problem or see if there was a problem.
All that aside, I wouldn't spend the time to write a bad review, but a week ago (7-21-2010) We requested they cancel our SSL. They cancelled the SSL and deleted our entire database as well...
Then they blamed us, saying we requested them to delete our database, but when confronted on it, they can't produce that request. Only our request to cancel the SSL. Deleteing a clients database without their permission would be about as bad of a mistake as a hosting company could make.
So, I requested cancellation of services completely today, since they deleted our database without our permission, and didn't even offer to fix it, or apologize.
I had just paid for an additional 12 months of service and requested a refund of 10-11 months of pre-paid service that I won't be getting. What would a normal American company do? If it were me, I would acknowledge my serious mistakes, and refund a client the money. Instead April and Gary have decided that it's our fault, and won't refund 11 months of pre-paid service through May of 2011. They say I agreed to no refunds.
All in all, we have 11 different hosts, and have been working on the web since 98. Infosaic is by far the worst host I have ever even heard of. I would give them a negative 15 if the scale allowed.
If you have a website that is important to you, want emails that work, and don't want to pay for services not performed, i would suggest choosing a different host. If you have any questions, or think this is just a competitor of theirs, feel free to call us and we'll tell you exactly how bad they are. 208-449-1443

During our decade of in business we have been blamed for a range of customer problems, from being unable to fix customer’s inability to locate left mouse button, to neighborhood power outages. However, we’ve never had a customer who blamed us for all of customer’s misfortune at once: not able to send high volumes of borderline “junk-mail” messages to some providers, not being able to secure one’s application from SQL Injection, or to tell a difference if your sites does not come up because of your local internet provider or web hosting company.
So we wish this client the best of luck in the future. Please add us to the long list of the hosting companies you have tried (11 in 12 years!!!!!). Your money have been refunded, your service cancellation request (from 7-21-2010) is on file. Good luck.
