poor customer service when the issue is complex

I have had my hostpapa account for less than a week. My initial experience was very positive - my DNS record was processed very quickly and I was online within hours.

My first experience with tech support was in regards to the online automated backup. This was resolved promptly and to my complete satisfaction.

My next experience with tech support involved a problem with WebDisk - which is still not resolved. I have provided tech support with a complete breakdown of exactly what is causing the problem (confirmed by multiple google search results on the issue - see "the website you want to view requests
identification please choose" for more info) and what needs to be done (which as far as I can see requires sysadmin access).

I have received nothing but the most inane responses from technical support in regards to this issue. These responses indicate they have not done even the most rudimentary research to check whether or not the issue as described responds to the method of resolving the problem described three specific URLS I added to my post (which come from the many google search results on the issue).

Their initial response was to have me simply not use the feature - even though I reported to them that WebDisk access was completely functional for some time previous to the inception of the problem.

Since then, further posts on the subject have shown they have not read my posts for comprehension - and they continue to send me utterly useless information which simply duplicates what I have already indicated to them is the problem.

Their latest insult to my intelligence is to tell me the problem is caused by exactly what I warned them in my previous post is not the source of the problem.

I consider this level of technical incompetence utterly unacceptable for any technology-based company - nevertheless something as important as webhosting where good technical support is imperative.

Should this issue remain unresolved, I will be exercising my money-back guarantee.
