Host mate got a negative review on and one official response on

Hostmate has no support phone number, hides behind a post office address only. Support emails lacks with lengthy delay to respond. Cant order a domain if you are overseas as they want your ID sent to them. Fake facebook review profiles. All very suspect. Beware.
Unfortunately we can only accept orders from Australia due to the high risk of fraud and security from overseas orders.
The country in which you are located Malaysia has an very high rate of fraud orders.
When we see an order that has an IP such as yours and the entered account contact address is a non existing Australian address, this immediately triggers fraud alerts.
We politely contacted and informed you, as we normally would, about the situation.
You will find most Australian owned providers will not accept orders from the country where you are located and will respond similarly.
It's in the best interests of our clients and ourselves not to accept orders from the country where you are located.
We have been a registered Australian company since 1999 providing hosting to Australian businesses since then. Our company name and ABN are located on every page of our website.
We have always only offered email ticket support and it has never been a problem. This is how we are able to keep our web hosting and domain prices so cheap and it enables us to keep a full record of all correspondence with our clients.
All of our Facebook reviews are real from real paying Australian customers. None of our Facebook reviews are fake as you unjustly stated.
We never requested ID. We simply said we can't accept your order without ID, reason because your order fully appears as fraud. We prefer to not accept an order than request anyone send us ID.
We've never had a comment like this before or anything remotely close to it as per reading any of our reviews found on the internet. This is the first and only negative non 5 star rating we have ever received and you have never even been a customer of ours.
