Here is a timeline, you decide.

#1 - 99% Uptime Guarantee.

Reviewing my emails and support tickets here is a basic timeline of our uptime.

11/10/2009 - Opened account with hostingsource (Server #1)
12/03/2009 - Server went down, multiple reboots, was told we were going to be moved to a new server that weekend (Server #1)
12/05/2009 - Server Down (Server #2)
12/08/2009 - Server goes down again, I comment that this is the 5th time (Server #2)
12/21/2009 - Cpanel not available, it reports not licensed, 5 hours later this is resolved. (Server #2)
01/19/2010 - Server down again (Server #2)
02/07/2010 - CPU errors start reporting every 6 hours, no response to ticket for 10 hours, told we will get a new server again. (Server #2)
02/18/2010 - It is finally found that the server has had a bad raid card the entire time, databases are corrupted, we lose 4000 ftp accounts. (Server #2)
02/24/2010 - We finally come back up on new server (Server #3)
02/24/2010 - I am told that we are going to be getting a backup solution at no charge that will be accessible via cpanel. As of 12/10/2010 this still has not happened. (Server #3)
03/24/2010 - Sites finally back up 100% after rebuilding everything manually. (Server #3)
12/06/2010 - Sites start freezing, it is found that our server is again failing. (Server #3)
12/11/2010 - Sites are still not back up. (Server #4)

This is no where near 99% guaranteed uptime which is supposedly guaranteed though no explanation is given on what guarantee actually means on your website.

#2 - Package VI 100mb connection, 9000GB of bandwidth

Here is my monthly usage as reported via whm:
02/10 - 6275gb - $249
03/10 - 6913gb - $249
04/10 - 8878gb (was told we were exceeding bandwidth and that whm was not a true figure, this has been disputed by other hosting companies I have contacted) $549
We begin paying an additional $300 a month for bandwidth per Ron bringing my total monthly bill to $549
5/10 - 6670gb - $549
6/10 - 6949gb - $549
7/10 - 8070gb - $549
8/10 - 7265gb - $549
9/10 - 7699gb - $549
at this point I question again the need for the extra $300 as we have yet to ever go over the bandwidth specified in our $249 plan. We agree to drop it down to only an additional $150 per month
10/10 - 8401gb - $399
11/10 - 5931gb - $399
