Destroyer of business! Nothing but problems! Horrible support. Aside from the dns server crash and repeatedly blacklisting my access isp so I can even view my own site, spamblock after spamblock destroying my business!

Wors yet, complain or ask to speak with the owner and they will lable you as "hostile" and shut down your site on the spot without even giving you a chance to move! Worst mistake of my business career. Stay away! The only green these people are into is your money!
This is Trey Gardner, CEO of Green Geeks responding to this -anonymous- ( -no email- ) complaint.

Please forgive me is I take this review with a grain of salt in terms of it's legitimacy, we have many competitors and without the name, domain name or email address or a ticket ID of this person it is impossible for me to verify that they were or are a customer.

First let me say that as an owner of a business I am always interested in legitimate complaints from our clients and our staff understands this and forwards me any issues where someone would like to contact me directly. So rather than just paying lip service to this fact let me say that my direct email address is Trey@GreenGeeks.com and if you have a legitimate complaint about our company I would appreciate it if you would let me know directly about it.

Please do not use that email address to try to get to technical support or for sales or billing questions as we have staff to work with you in any of those areas and their contact emails are as follows:

Now regarding this complaint, our company has NEVER had a DNS server failure, so either this person is mistaken and is attributing some other issue that they had as a DNS crash or that claim is baseless and completely invalid. If our company had a DNS crash you could be sure that you would see more than just this complaint regarding it.

A blacklist on an IP address (not an ISP, ISP's are service providers and we do not block ISP's so this person must mean their IP address) is something that we have in place to prevent fraudulently accessing our servers. We take great precautions with our clients information and our servers and so if someone attempts to access a server with a bad user name & password we block the IP.

In many cases an IP will be blocked from someone who signs up fraudulently for an account and since we call and confirm all accounts by phone to prevent adding spammers and other types of fraudulent sites onto our servers those persons who signed up may try to attempt to use a user name and password that was inactive due to the account having been identified as fraud those persons' IP addresses, after several tries with invalid information the IP is blocked and the user is notified to contact us to find out why they are entering invalid information. (PLEASE ACCEPT MY APOLOGIES FOR THIS LONG RUN ON SENTENCE).

As far as being hostile and shutting down sites, our staff is not hostile but a site can get shut down immediately if we believe that they are doing something illegal. Despite the fact that we call and confirm every account there are people who validly identify their accounts and then do something illegal like sending out spam. If we get a notice of an account doing something illegal and violating our terms of service and risking harm to our other customers we must take action.

I hope that my response provides those of you looking for information about our company with some idea of our procedures and how (if you have a valid complaint about us) you may contact me directly.
