Globat ripped me off for over $700! I had been with them for 20 years and had no problems. I always paid 3 years in advance for service, and the average price was $300. I had a personal website, not commercial, so not that many people visited. But last Jan, I saw that Globat charged my Mastercard over $700 for 3 years. They never informed me that they had doubled their price. As a matter of fact, in the 20 years I was with them, I never received one single e-mail from them. So I had Mastercard put a stop on the $700. I contacted Globat to ask why my Bill was so high. They said that was their new price. I said, "you doubled my Bill without telling me?". They had no answer. But here's how the cheating bastards got me: At some pint they changed their policy without telling anyone. This new policy stated that customers must give 30 days notice before they will be charged. Be aware that my Bill wasnt even DUE for another week! Mastercard told me there was nothing they could due because of Globats 30 day policy, so I was screwed out of over $700! I ended my relationship with Globat that same day. They had my $700 and there's was nothing I could do about it. I would like to see a class action lawsuit against them because I'm sure I wasnt the only one who got screwed by them. We talk all the time about overseas scams, but here's one right here's in the USA that will take you and you may not even know it. AVOID THEM AT ALL COST!
