I was researching and found GlobalHosting247.com amongst others. I ended up checking for reviews on them but found nothing. But I chose to risk it after doing some research.
I later suffered because of them.
I made enquiries about their domain and they promised that they offer ID protection (on WHOis) when I buy a domain name. This means that my information will either be masked or they would replace it with data of their own.
This would protect my privacy. And I bought 4 domain names at separate times, trusting that they would keep to their word.
I was later threatened with 2 sextortion mails because they didn't keep to their word. My data was exposed on WHOis and some evil actors used this to threaten me to send them money.
I handled the situation well even though it was my first time. I felt disgusted, pained and surprised at first but I did some research and did not reply to them.
This was because of GlobalHosting247's lies and false promises. I will transfer my domain names to a more reputable and transparent domain registrar.
They refused to mask my data asking for more money. Advice: do not use your real data when getting a domain else you might suffer.

I'm sorry to hear that you were not satisfied with the provided service. It seems there was a misunderstanding. Please understand, We provide WHOIS Privacy Protection for some certain domain extensions such as .com, .org,. net and so many others. Previously it was being offered free of charge as clearly stated on our website. Unfortunately, we couldn't continue with offering it for free any longer and we removed the advertisement on our website that says it was for free.
You can purchase it from the client area dashboard if you have an existing domain name or you can open a ticket and we can further assist you. I see you had opened a ticket, we tried explaining to you and requesting if we may raise an invoice for you.
