Their pricing and cost is reasonable. Control Panel is quite easy to use for any newbie on the web. No ads, but server speed could be slow and have downtime. If you are use the elefante free scripts to setup your wordpress, some server ports could be blocked by freehostia and you won't be able to fully use wordpress features.
Onto their support.
I am using their free chocolate plan for over 3 years. And out of a sudden, I received a "blocked_61" message in my control panel. So I opened a support ticket thinking it could just be an error. (or the forum mods like to call it as trouble ticket) Waited 3 days for a ticket reply and when I tried to open the ticket link and signed into my cpanel, I received this message that I was suspended for 4 reasons listed which I did not commit. Read the quote all the way below for the reasons.
My site was mainly a wordpress platform that I created for my own personal blogging. So there is no reason why my site could have been suspended for those reasons. I did email them about the ticket but they did not fully explained it to me.
I was totally NOT satisfied with them! This is the worst support I ever received from a hosting site. If this is the way they handle free hosters, they will never get me to purchase a hosting plan with them.
You can't even view your own ticket. Contacting the support team about it and they will not do anything to help your situation and only give you vague explanations. They don't even check your site and could never occur to them that it could be their own system error. They are all arrogant incompetent monkeys!!
Moderators on the forum support are immature and I quote this "So long, we'll miss you. " when one of the users decided to switch hosting. This is such a support team you gonna get when your site is having problems or errors. They will not help you but rather you switch servers and bid you farewell. They never learn how to do business and I wonder how many users left because of such support.

This is my advise to those who wants to continue their hosting with them. Do regular backups of files and databases on your hard drive, because one day those monkeys just might suspend your account without reason and you will never get your site data back. I was unlucky as I did not expect them to suspend my account, so all my 3 years worth of blogging data were gone just like that.
I hope my review can help you get a clear view of what's to expect from them. If you are a new user, go ahead and try them for free. Learn your hosting skills and try what you need. But NEVER EVER pay them to host your site.
