I have my ecommerce website being hosted with fortune3 for over 6 years to sell products online. I've neither noticed their servers being down or the speed being slow. I hired fortune3 because they offered me their shopping cart software and ecommerce solution along with their web hosting and site monitoring services for one single price. If you want to open an online store with a shopping cart system fortune3 is an excellent choice not only because of great hosting, but also because their software and customer service is outstanding. They also monitor the performance of both the hosting and the software.
Before I hired fortune3 I had another web hosting service that I used for running the online store by myself with software that I purchased outside. I must say that I had to invest a lot of time to maintain my online store up and running, not because the hosting company was bad, but because the shopping cart software needs to connect with multiple servers outside in order to make queries to calculate the shipping cost and to process the payments. And believe me, things can go south at any time because they require a great deal of watching.
