They were inexpensive and good. Now they are no longer competitively priced and are pretty awful.
Have been with them since 2008 - they were very good back then.
Unfortunately, they've were acquired by EIG some years ago, and they've become increasingly expensive since then while reducing the services.
Shared SSL - no longer available, even though their knowledge articles still describe how to use it - need SSL, you have to buy it now.
Oh... you need SSL ? Sorry, you need a dedicated IP for that now... yup, have to pay for that separately too now.
Need to send bulk emails occasionally ? Used to be no problem, we'd go for weeks at a time and then need to send a few hundred out ... now you can only send 500 in a given hour - unless you pay more of course.
Need to monitor background processes you have running (cronjobs or such)... used to be no probem... now they removed Process Manager from the cpanel... Oh, you need to be able to monitor those processes - upgrade to their VPS offering - pay more and go through the refactoring of your systems
Support used to be strong - now it's terribly, terrible weak. They provide guidance and advice that doesn't make sense - like telling me they found errors in the system logfile for a given program, and that's why the site was having problem. The logfile was showing errors from a test program in development - completely different subsystem, completely different location, completely different name. You point that out, you get back "oh... I see".
They really have fallen terribly, and I'm in the process of migrating of them.
BE CAREFUL - don't sign up for ANY of the EIG owned webhosters... they are all the same backend now, and the same support staffs. The last thing you want to do is migrate off of one EIG company, just to wind up right where you started with another EIG company. NOTE: EIG recently acquired by ClearLake, combined with other companies and now is NewFold Digital - AVOID ALL of their webhosting brandnames
