Don't touch EUServ! At the beginning of september 2012, I rent a new dedicated server from this company to be able to serve different things like multiple web sites, some self-made projects and a minecraft server.
Right after my server became active, I selected Ubuntu as operating system. The control panel (which is worse than most other companie's control panels), which seems to be thrown together out of code snippets found on the web, told me: "The first initialisation of your server usaually takes up to 48 hours."
Nothing happened after 24 hours and I contacted customer support using the EUServ customer forums. While waiting for an answer, I read through the threads and noticed that EUServ employees provide private information about customers in the public (like non-paid hosting plans).
After a short time, I got my answer and got told that the operating system installation image I selected is buggy and that they initialized my server manually. I selected a non-RAID installation on purpose, they initialized my server with the RAID-1-version of their Ubuntu image.
I configured my server and set up everthing I needed and ordered 2 domains for about 20 €. I got sick and the payment was delayed because of that. After about 2 weeks, they locked my server (they call it "quarantine") and my domains (unable to edit them) all together, even though I already paid for the server.
I paid the open 20 €, but they DIDN'T unlock the server and my domains. I just waited and even paid the october bill for the locked dedi (which was 49,95 € for an unavailable service).
After another 2 weeks, the customer panel still stated that the price I "still have to pay" is 69,95 € (open domain bill and server bill for october), which I already did since weeks. The server is now gone and my money as well.
Sorry for my bad english... Sometimes its good, sometimes bad.
