ESecure Data got a positive review on

Very good company to work with
I've been with eSecureData since Nov 2011. I've also used RackSpace, HostGator, thePlanet, and a couple others in that time. I've since folded up all my other hosting into eSecure.
The machines they rent for the prices they rent them at... wow. Flip side of that is - you, yes YOU need to know what you are doing. that 99.999% uptime guarantee that you don't see all over eSecure pages? that's because they don't control the server you rent. They can keep the power on and the network up, and the server physically running. But the keeping the software running, the machine from being compromises, the continual updating of software to keep up with the various exploits - that's ALL YOU.
Right there is why so many people have trouble. eSecure doesn't charge you $800/month for a quad core xeon with 32G ram like some fanatical company, no, they charge less than $200. So.. the compromise here - you, or someone at your company MUST know how to keep that machine running.
eSecureData JUST hosts servers. They don't fiddlefart with holding your hand. And for what they do, they do a very good job. I'm very glad there's someone on this end of the spectrum - there's so many cradle-to-grave providers out there, it's about time someone did something for the hands-off folks.
thank you eSecure!
No, I'm not an employee, no I don't want to be. I've used their forums a little, talked with them on the phone about 6 times. All in all, an excellent experience.
Okay, opinions aside:
my uptime has been good - in the past 3+ years I've had about 6 downtimes - probably 3 of these were my fault. I've had a drive fail, and experienced network outages twice or three times.
Billing has been accurate, never over-billed, switching servers - they credit remaining time on old server to new one - that's very cool.
The way they are laying out the servers now - makes me really want to switch up to one of the Xeons with 132!! gig ram...
Anyway, if you can maintain your own servers, expect nothing less than the best at keeping the power on & the network connected.
