Mike James from customer support is so rude and arrogant! I am a first time user of domain names in general and didn't know the jargon. What could have been explained and resolved in 2 seconds, lead to the following conversation:
ME: Could you please contact my brother as he needs to discuss a matter with you in relation to our domain name?
MIKE: Whats the issue you are in need of help for?
ME: My brother purchased two domain names on the 16th december called "xxx.com and xxx.com.au".
Since we have found that xxx.com is taken by another company, we expected this to be in a parked status and not actually being used if we were able to purchase it. We also found that when we go to check availability of xxx.com.au it is in fact available, so we are a little confused as to what is happening with this.
My brother has paid for both these domains and was hoping to start up these websites, however both are not operational.
Could you please reimburse him for both domains as soon as possible to rectify this issue?
MIKE: That’s a landing page, but you would’ve known that if you read the info sent at the time to you. So there is no refund.
ME: Mike, if your website states it is available then it should be available! If you do not wish to provide a refund I will need to take this further.
MIKE: You own the .com, but not.com.au as it wasn’t registered nor paid for, cant you read? So there is nothing to refund you for.
ME: Could you please give me a call?
MIKE: Regarding what?
ME: What is described above, can't you read?
MIKE: We don’t call outwards
(and they also don't accept any inward calls!!!)
ME: Could you provide me another support person to deal with?
Can't believe this person works in Customer Service. My advise - don't make business with Domainnames.com.au!
