😠 If the recent news involving this company and Parler APP (the alt-right app involved in the assault on the US Capitol) isn't enough for you to stay away, get ready to be ripped off if anything goes wrong.

As a former customer of their services for 6 months, things went ok until I started getting DDOS heavily with a UDP and slowris HTTP flood attack this January (2021). Well, while we were severely impacted, their support just insisted on claiming that everything was fine... We were forced to switch to another company as our project become inoperational as it was going down every 50 minutes! Our billing period for that month started on the 27th of January, and while the issues were reported on the 28th, they still refused a partial refund, continuing to claim that there were no attacks and it was my fault we had to switch to a new hosting provider. When confronted with some facts, they starting spitting out some nonsense that their UDP DDoS protection only covers two ports and their

😁 We have been using the Enterprise Web Protection plan ($1000/month) for more than 3.5 years and I would like to publish a review of it:

+ pages are very well protected
+ Individual attacks are recognized and quickly fended off
+ the support reacts within a few minutes 24-7 and can help directly
+ Individual attacks are fended off within 60 minutes (usually within minutes)
+ Server errors on a backend server are detected and after some tests a ticket is opened.
+ the administrative interface is constantly being expanded.

- In the past there were some (3-4) failures (1h) at night (00:00), where no attack took place, but the pages (also from other customers) were not reachable from outside. The failures mostly affected users from Central Europe and only there the page could not be accessed. The backend servers in different locations worked without problems. 😠 Использовал услугу защищенного хостинга более 7 месяцев. За это время многократно были проблемы с доступностью сайта по вине ddos-guard.

Мною было написано множество тикетов о существующих проблемах, которые периодически повторялись. После чего я добавил свой сайт в независимый трекер. Какового было мое удивление, когда я увидел, что мой сайт систематически был недоступен от 5 до 30 минут до 3-х раз в неделю! Так как у меня сайт с большим трафиком я ощущал на себе финансовые и репутационные потери.

Потребовав закрыть услугу и вернуть остаток баланса по счету (примерно 8000 рублей) мне отказали.
Также моя услуга предполагала ответ службы поддержки в течении 30 минут (это по регламенту самой услуги), но и эти пункты были нарушены многократно.

Крайне не рекомендую эту контору.

We used DDoS-GUARD solutions to mitigate DDoS-attacks, to protect our internal network and to increase the speed of our website loading. So, we purchased different types of their services for our system and our brand domain. For the DDoS-attacks, their approach is really smart: you can order either comprehensive mitigation or mitigation of some special levels (e.g. L3-L4, if it seems more suitable for you). Their mitigation itself is also ‘smart’ with maximum of about 0.01% of legitimate traffic filtered. Website loading speed is increased by caching and CDN with all statistics (cached/uncached content ratio etc.) available in a few clicks.

I had had hard time seeking for the rationalization traffic procession solution as we operate really huge amount of data. With this company I managed to do this via API-tools. Also, BGPs options proved to be very useful for us.
The NOC of DDoS-GUARD is really available 24/7 even during the time of attacks. I reached them 5 or 6 times last year and was satisfied with the customer service level every moment. I received all the instructions and consultations I asked for. Moreover, they contacted me once after attack just to check whether I experienced any difficulties or not. Well done.

All DNS changes are loaded really fast. Namely I customized a bulk of settings in servers, traffic processing etc., saved and voila I saw all changes adopted in ten minutes. It rocks!
Service is a kind of real deal against DDoS-attacks. You can trace the statistics of the malefactor’s attempts to make your resource unavailable. The country of attack’s origin, the scale, corrupted/fair traffic ratio, the exact time and type of attack - you’re able to see it in a plain graphs in your dashboard. BTW, our previous protection provider had usually been blocking vast majority of intended users along with the malicious requests. The policy of DDoS-GUARD is quite different: we received no bad feedback from our legitimate users even after severe attacks.
