Probably the worse case scenario

A month back I had some performance issues with my virtual hosted server so I contacted support. Long story short they ended up reminding me that windows server 2003 was at end of life in July. They offered to migrate my server to 2008 with 2008 ms sql for free. The said go to the sales request a new vps and do not pay for it. I agreed. I emailed back when it was complete at which point the tech respond, Ok once it is paid for your vps will be ready in 30 minutes. As you can imagine I was confused. After some back and forth I sent an email saying I was done and to cancel my request and cut my renewal to 6 months. A manager got involved and convinced me to go forward, they would take car of everything. So I gave them a list of what to move and what I would take care of, they moved it all, I also told them not to change any DNS settings until I had tested it. at 9:30 PM I got an email saying everything was moved and the DNS was updated? Noooooooo! I immediately got onto the chat and after arguing with me for a half hour the tech reluctantly changed everything back (or so I thought) he did not correctly update my subdomain which left it down over night until I go back onto a chat session the next morning and got it resolved with someone else. That day I started to look at what was moved; basically the tech just gave the appearance of moving everything but left it in a dire state. IIS folders where simply copied over and then mapped to sites, no security settings nothing. Smartermail was installed and my three addresses were setup but none of my settings or configuration and none of the aliases (meaning the tech did not back up and the restore the settings). I informed support of the lapses and had some back and forth where the tech was apparently oblivious to reading my responses and then at 11:30 last night I got an email saying everything was done and the dns settings had been updated to the new server. Noooooo! I spent an almost two hours in a chat session with the tech who lied to me many times and eventually refused to fix the issue. I do have to say I loved this company, they've been great for many years. This one tech (as far as I can tell it's one), he calls himself Leon, is a sadist who won't read or properly complete his work. I wish him well and hope he learns his trade but he's been a complete nightmare for me. He's hurt my business, given me heartburn, caused me loss of sleep and serious mental anguish. Who changes someones DNS without letting them test it? Who does it twice? Who refuses to change it back? Really. Don't use this company.
