AIT got a negative review on
Drew ( maxi4701@g... )
The worst of the worst of the worst. You see ait, run away as fast as you can. Today, down again. From what I can tell, at least 8 hours now. A few weeks ago, 12 hours. a few weeks before that, 12 hours. This has happened time and time again. Support is ungodly slow, and most of the time you cannot ever get through. Online ticket system, you are looking at 6-12 hours average.
I've had a dedicated server with them for 3 years, and the CP is horendous (some self made half working script, that it takes a rocket scientist to work around some things. Just to get analytics, you might as well put google analytics on your site, because in the server, it is all but non existant. Plus, whomever configures the servers needs to go to school. I'm frequently on every email black list in existence for mail forging. Hackers got into my server 3 times and ruined all my sites. AIT blamed me, until i showed proof that the apache install was one giant security hole that allows form input hijacking, which then the hackers gain access to the root. The list goes on and on. BEWARE... You see ait, just move on. I moved 2 of my critical sites off my server onto another hosting company last week. Was planning on the other 2 next week, but since they are down yet again for many hours, i am doing it this weekend and canceling my account with them.
Also note, if you rely on search engine indexing for ecommerce, forget it. i had 575,000 pages indexed 1 year ago. down to 600 now, because of the prolonged downtimes over many many months... google and yahoo flagged the sites as unreliable, due to long term outages over and over and over.
