My server has been down for roughly 20 hours in the past 2 months. This exceeds Ace Host's 99% up time guarantee. After many requests via their web-based reporting feature (very cumbersome) I was told I had a credit for the down time. No one can tell me how much this credit is. I have just learned that the credit will only be applied to FUTURE invoices. So I do not get credit for the services I have already paid for, well in advance.
The mail server was down for again for a couple hours the other morning. Once again I submitted a ticket. Explaining that I was receiving mail from other accounts but not my domain. They asked for the UN/PW for the account and the email. All of them? I asked? I have several employees after all. The response was a terse one saying they had only ever asked for one UN/PW for email. No, they did not specify.
I was then accused of using Outlook and not telling them. I DO NOT use Outlook. Of course I use a mail application, remember I said I was receiving mail from other accounts?
Tech support has not only been unhelpful and unfriendly but down right rude and nasty.
I hope they correct this problem. I had been satisfied with their services for the first couple of years.
