Jan, 2004 : NTT Picks Opsware IDC Automation Software

📅 January 21, 2004 - Data center automation software developer Opsware (opsware.com) announced on Tuesday that Japanese telecommunications carrier NTT Communications (ntt.com) has chosen Opsware's data center automation software to automate its hosting operations in North America, Europe and Japan.

The company said NTT's use of its software will allow it to reduce operational costs and gain a competitive advantage in the Web hosting market.
"NTT Com selected Opsware to automate hosting services to achieve greater efficiencies, be more cost-competitive and deliver higher-value services to customers," said Kazu Yozawa, vice president of the IT Management Services Business Division at NTT Com. "Opsware automation will allow us to achieve the highest levels of quality, security and new service capabilities."
Opsware said the agreement with NTT is indicative of its commitment to Japan and the greater Asia-pacific region.
"NTT Com is a global leader in hosting services, and we are honored to have them as our customer," said Ben Horowitz, president and CEO of Opsware. "The world's leading service providers are turning to Opsware's automation software to drive efficiency and reduce costs within the data center.
