Jan, 2004 : Server Central to Offer Microsoft Licenses

servercentral.com logo📅 - Server Central (servercentral.net) has accepted an invitation to join the Microsoft (microsoft.com) Service Provider Licensing Agreement program, the company said on Friday.

Under the agreement, Server Central will become a Microsoft Certified Partner and serve as a Microsoft Service Provider License Agent, allowing it to rent licenses to customers on a monthly basis.
The company said it plans to license Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft SQL Server for under $15 per month, per license.
"Our SPLA agreement with Microsoft provides affordable access to a wide variety of powerful applications that would otherwise be unaffordable to many of our smaller customers," said Mark Luptak, vice president of sales and marketing for Server Central.
Server Central is a provider of managed hosting and colocation services based in Chicago.
Last week, Server Central expanded its deployments at Equinix.
