Mar 11, 2004 : WebCentral Deploys Esphion Security

📅 March 11, 2004 - Australian Web hosting provider WebCentral (webcentral.com.au) is deploying network security solutions from Esphion (esphion.com) to protect its customers from Internet attacks, the company announced on Thursday.

Under an agreement, WebCentral will deploy Esphion's NetX appliance to combat worms, denial of service (DoS) and other security attacks against its network. WebCentral said deploying NetX will have the added benefit of providing it with visibility into network behavior and usage.
"Esphion's unique traffic visibility and analysis approach will enhance the operation, management and security of WebCentral's IP networks and services," says Ashwin Sharma, network operations manager at WebCentral.
Esphion's NetX appliance monitors and analyzes network traffic, identifying anomalies before they take effect. The appliance is also equipped to automatically develop threat signature markers, which allows it to detect new and previously undetected security threats.
