Mar 23, 2004 : CP+ Control Panel Cobalt RaQ4 Compliant

📅 March 23, 2004 - Hosting automation software developer Positive Software (psoft.net) announced on Monday that it has upgraded the installation scripts in CP+, its new Linux control panel, certifying its use on the Cobalt RaQ4 server appliance. With the newly installed scripts, CP+ is able to detect installation on a Cobalt RaQ4 and automatically download and install the necessary software modules CP+ requires to run.

According to Positive Software, Cobalt's control panel remains active after CP+ is installed, allowing the administrator to jump over to the CP+ system and use its new features and tools, enabling easier server management. The functionality of CP+ is applicable to all existing Web sites and users that reside on that machine.
"CP+ install on a Cobalt RaQ4 is now much simpler, fetch the file, run the install - server administrators then have access to a whole host of new features to help them better manage their server, and their clients," says Steve Ball, technical director of Altaire (altaire.com), the sole worldwide distributor of CP+.
CP+'s features include database management, setup security services such as Portsentry and Logcheck, creation of a hosting account/user/dns/mailbox using one form, enabling and disabling of Apache modules, setup spam filtering and password protect directories.
Positive Software is the developer of the H-Sphere control panel. The company recently announced that Altaire, a provider of back-end systems for the Web hosting industry, would be the sole worldwide distributor of the CP+ control panel.
