Mar 29, 2004 : EasySpeedy Offers Free Hardware

📅 March 29, 2004 - Danish Web hosting company EasySpeedy (easyspeedy.com -> asergo.com) unveiled a new promotion this week, offering dedicated hosting customers a free physical server with the purchase of a EUR 49.99 per month dedicated hosting plan.

"I see the EasySpeedy concept as an equivalent to the low-cost airline industry", says Tina Lerche, co-founder and managing director of EasySpeedy. "Extensive use of computer automation delivered by our proprietary business logic engine enables us to produce low-cost, high quality dedicated server hosting services."
According to the Copenhagen-based company, the dedicated servers will be equipped with a 2.2 Ghz Intel CPU, 512 MB RAM and a minimum of a 40 MB hard disk. The servers will be hosted in Interxion's (interxion.com) Copenhagen data center facility. Mandrake, SuSE and Redhat versions of Linux are default options.
Lerche said the company is targeting the small and medium-sized enteprise market.
