The control panel, which supports both Go Daddy and non-Go Daddy customers, provides DNS management services for gTLDs such as .com, .net, .org, and ccTLDs such as .tv, .de, and .jp.
"Every domain name, Web site address, and email address on the Internet requires DNS in order to work," says Bob Parsons, president and founder of The Go Daddy Group. "Go Daddy has put domain owners firmly in the driver's seat with a powerful, yet easy-to-use DNS management tool situated on a reliable, dispersed network of servers."
The control panel interface features detailed help options, including basic and advanced modes, which support customers in managing their hostnames, aliases, mail records (including Sender Policy Framework and Sender ID records) and Whois records. Go Daddy said the control panel also integrates with the company's Web hosting, email and online store building solution Quick Shopping Cart.
"Go Daddy created the managed DNS application in direct response to customer demand," says Parsons. "It is yet another giant step forward by Go Daddy in decreasing the complexity of the Internet by tempering it with intuitive applications."
