📅 February 7, 2005 - According to reports, an Islamic Web site that is linked toterrorist group al Qaeda is running on a server based in BritishColumbia, Canada operated by Web hosting provider Rackforce (rackforce.com).

The Web site is called Supporters ofShareeah. Abu Hamza al-Masri, one of the site's directors, is currentlyjailed in England for his alleged part in the bombing of the USS Colein 2000. Shareeah is a concept of Islamic rule. Supporters of the Website are reportedly considered radical.

Rackforce reportedly said the contentposted to the server did not originate from the city of Kelowna, whereRackforce is based. The company said it was unaware of the content onthe site and is investigating. The company pledged to review the siteand cooperate with law enforcement agencies if necessary.

Rackforce's network hosts more than 80,000 Web sites, according to reports.
