📅 - IT security solutions provider Comodo (comodo.com) announced on Tuesday that it has partnered with technology company Intel (intel.com) to develop and launch a new type of SSL certificate, the Comodo Pro-Series SSL certificates.
Comodo says the SSL certificates are specifically designed for use with PCs based on Intel Active Management technology, a feature of Intel vPro processor-based PCs and Intel Centrino Pro processor-based notebooks, to provide secure out-of-band remote system management.
Intel says it has embedded Comodo's public root certificate into Intel vPro processor technology and Intel Centrino Pro processor technology firmware, which will enable IT departments that have installed a Comodo Pro-Series certificate on their setup and configuration server to create secure connections to their user machines.
Last week, the beta version of Comodo's Memory Guardian became available for download.
