Apr 1, 2005 : Web Host HostRocket to Offer VoIP

📅 April 1, 2005 - ( ) -- Web hosting provider HostRocket (hostrocket.com ) announced on Friday that it plans to launch a voice over IP telephony division this quarter.
"This is a very logical move for our company. Many experts are predicting that by the year 2015, nearly half of all phone services globally will use IP telephony technology," says Brendan Brader, chief executive officer of HostRocket.

The company says it will offer a full suite of VoIP services, which will include plans starting at under $15 for residential users. HostRocket has been planning the launch for six months and has invested hundreds of thousand of dollars in staff, infrastructure and facilities, the company says. "We are confident that upon entrance into the market, we can provide an affordable, reliable service that is superior to anything else consumers currently have access to," says Timothy Dick, business development manager at HostRocket.
