📅 July 5, 2005 - Canadian Web hosting provider Monsterhosting.ca (monsterhosting.ca -> ovhcloud.com) announced on Thursday that it is now offering Canadian merchant accounts, a move the company says is designed to meet the needs of small businesses.
The merchant accounts come in three different packages, each featuring API access, real time reporting, and the ability to accept MasterCard and Visa. Fraud detection and free technical support is also included. Lisa Jones, CEO of MonsterHosting.ca, says the merchant accounts integrate well with the free shopping cart software provided in its Unix Web hosting packages. "By 2010, worldwide online sales will reach $331 billion, and we are enabling our customers to play a role in it," says Jones. "Our new products allow our clients to truly take their businesses to the next level." Payments will be paid out to merchants twice a month. The service is provided through a partnership with PSIGate (psigate.com).
