Sep 22, 2005 : Host Color Adds Mambo CMS

📅 September 22, 2005 - Web hosting provider Host Color (hostcolor.com ) said on Wednesday that it had added the open source content management system Mambo to its Max and Mega hosting plans.
Prior to installing Mambo, Host Color provided its customers with Limbo CMS - a lightweight content management system based on Mambo. Customers are now given a choice between the two solutions. Automated installation enables customers to avoid the setup process. "When developing the Mambo installer we made an effort to make it as simple as possible while keeping the actual program as its creators intended it," says Stanimir Dimitrov, Power Tools developer for Host Color. "We have taken the hassle out installing Mambo, since open source applications sometimes require technical expertise to deploy. Still site owners should remember to keep the Mambo software up to date through its in-built update option."
