📅 December 19, 2005 - Wholesale bandwidth services provider New World Network (nwncable.com) announced on Monday that it has signed a multi-year agreement to establish a point of presence at Terremark's NAP of the Americas (terremark.com ).

"Columbus Communications, new owner of New World Network, continues its strategic investment and expansion program in the region," says Paul Scott, president and COO of New World Network. "Establishing a presence at the NAP of Americas enables us to offer our customers a seamless solution into Florida's principal Telecom Hub."

Barbados-based Columbus Communications holds controlling interests in numerous telecommunications providers in the Caribbean including New World Network, Cable Bahamas, Caribbean Crossings, Merit Communications, FibraLink Jamaica and the Cable Company of Trinidad and Tobago.

New World Network provides advanced, high-speed bandwidth capacity to telecommunications companies and Internet Service Providers.

📅 Feb 9, 2009 - Terremark Delays Building in Santa Clara - Terremark Worldwide (terremark.com ) announced on Monday it has decided to delay the building of a data center in Santa Clara, California, focusing its development budget dollars instead on its data center in Virginia, the NAP of the Capital Region, according to a report by Data Center Knowledge.

The company says it is seeing significant demand for colocation and managed hosting services at the Culpeper, Virginia facility.

Last month, Terremark began offering its full suite of managed solutions at the NAP of the Capital Region following the completed deployment of its Infinistructure utility-computing platform.
