Jan 10, 2006 : GeoTrust Acquires TC TrustCenter

📅 January 10, 2006 - Internet security firm GeoTrust (geotrust.com) announced on Tuesday that it had acquired German IT security solution provider TC TrustCenter (trustcenter.de). Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.


The deal includes a data center facility compliant with the German signature act and a base of 3,500 customers across Europe, including major financial, industrial and government organizations.

TC TrustCenter's solutions enable customers to authenticate themselves to online services and applications, guaranteeing the source and integrity of transactions and communications.

GeoTrust says the addition of TC Trust Center will enhance its focus of providing identity verification and authentication solutions that enable secure network transactions.

TC TrustCenter will also market GeoTrust products, include managed security services for large enterprises, Web security services for hosting providers, identity verification services and digital signing services.
