) had its 10th submission for a Super Bowl commercial rejected by ABC, Bob Parsons confirmed on Tuesday in a blog post (bobparsons.com).

Go Daddy's difficulty obtaining approval for its ads stem from its Super Bowl commercial from a year ago, which stirred a storm of controversy.

The ad, featuring actress Candice Michelle scantily clad and prancing provocatively, caused such a ruckus that it was pulled from a second slot later in the game.

Late last year, Go Daddy announced its intentions of purchasing an ad for this year's Super Bowl. In recent weeks, the company has been working with ABC's standards and practices board in order to get an ad approved.

Parsons also reported in his blog that Go Daddy had received word last Friday that the National Football League would participate in the approval process, reviewing any ad that ABC approves.

"To the best of my knowledge the NFL has never participated in the commercial approval process," Parsons wrote. "So this could be another first for Go Daddy."

Parsons, however, believes any ad ABC approves will ultimately be given the go-ahead from the NFL.

Last year's Super Bowl was broadcasted by Fox, which charged $2.4 million for a 30-second commercial. This year, ABC is charging $2.6 million.

Parsons promises any Super Bowl ad will be "Go Daddy-esque."
