Feb 1, 2006 : Web Host Rackspace Appoints Counsel

📅 February 1, 2006 - Web hosting provider Rackspace Managed Hosting (rackspace.com ) announced on Wednesday it has appointed Alan Schoenbaum as general counsel.

Schoenbaum has more than 20 years of experience in corporate and securities law representing growth companies. He will serve as a collaborative partner on the executive team where he will oversee all of the company's legal functions.

"Alan's experience with corporate and securities law among public, private and fast-growth companies will be a major asset to Rackspace as we continue to address the growing number of industry compliances and regulations as well as maximize value among our ongoing business transactions," says Lanham Napier, president at Rackspace.

In the past, Schoenbaum has served as a partner in the San Antonio office of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld where he was named to the 2005-2006 edition of the law publication, The Best Lawyers in America.

On Tuesday, Rackspace announced that it had been named to Texas Monthly's 50 Best Places to Work in Texas list.
