Feb 7, 2006 : Easyspace Offers Domain Name Privacy

📅 February 7, 2006 - Web service provider Easyspace (easyspace.com ) announced on Monday it launched its Whois Privacy service.

The new service enables users to hide personal information such as their names, addresses, telephone numbers and other contact details, preventing those details from being collected for potentially malicious use.

Easyspace Whois privacy is available for £10 per year per domain. The service hides a selection of a user's registered Whois details, enabling them to operate the domain name anonymously.

Since its official launch on February 3, the service has received positive reviews, says Easyspace. The Whois privacy service is part of a collection of tools the company provides to ensure the security of its customers.

Easyspace enhanced its offerings with phone-based support in November of 2005.
