Mar 23, 2006 : Comodo Launches Zero Touch Linux

instantssl.com logo📅 - Identity and Trust Assurance service provider Comodo (comodo.com) announced on Wednesday that it has launched the beta 1 release of Zero Touch Linux (trustix.com). The suite of back-office server applications is centrally controlled by a Web-based control panel.

ZTL acts as a central file server, print server, domain consoler, DNS, mail server, database server and Web server. Comodo says the package eliminates the complexities of deploying a Linux infrastructure by packaging the setup of multiple server types to a one-time installation and configuration.

Developed by Comodo's Positive Software division, ZTL offers administrators server software pre-configured on Comodo's Linux distribution, Trustix Secure Linux. The solution is available for free until July 1 (after which time it will be $99 per server) as a single downloadable ISO from and can be immediately installed on network servers.

"Instead of navigating an ever choppier sea of separately managed applications, ZTL provides total control over all server types and upgrades through the same interface," says Melih Abdulhayoglu, president and CEO of Comodo. "This free beta release gives users a hands-on experience in managing a Linux based office infrastructure the way it should be - easy."
