📅 March 24, 2006 - Web hosting provider 1&1 Internet (1and1.com) announced on Thursday that it has attained Gold Certified status in the Microsoft Partner Program based on its competency in advanced infrastructure in Web hosting, Sharepoint and Exchange solutions.

The achievement demonstrates the highest level of competence and expertise with Microsoft technologies, as well as a close working relationship with Microsoft. Competency is based on customer references, individual certifications and tested, certified software based on Microsoft technology. Gold Partners are awarded with additional services that provide better support for business activities in the IT sector.

"This partnership allows us to provide our customers with a wider array of software options and new technologies before it's available to our competition," says 1&1 CEO Andreas Gauger. "The added technical support coupled with 1&1's expertise ensures that we will deliver the necessary innovative edge to enable our customers to operate successfully for the long term."

1&1 provides a wide range of Microsoft hosting solutions, offering four different hosting plans as well as three dedicated server solutions. The 1&1 Microsoft Exchange with Outlook 2003 is the email solution for small businesses.
