Apr 21, 2006 : Host Color Offers Free Mailing Tool

📅 April 21, 2006 - Shared Web hosting provider Host Color (hostcolor.com ) announced on Thursday that it is now offering PHPList open source mailing list software pre-installed with its hosting plans.

Customers using the company's Max, Mega and Multi Domain service plans can now get PHPList installed on their account at the click of a button. PHPList is open source newsletter software that enables webmasters to send feature rich HTML newsletters to their audiences.

"The newsletter software that we offer is meant to be used by Web site owners operating legal opt-in mailing lists," says Stoyan Marinov, Host Color's chief system engineer. "We are very strict in our anti-spam policies. Host Color constantly receives feedback from spam blacklists and networks such as AOL. Our system administration team does its best to prevent any spam from exiting our servers."

PHPList mailing list is the latest pre-installed software that the Web host has added to its hosting management software NextColor.
