The Santa Barbara company says one chip can generate eight wavelengths, potentially cutting component count, power use, and dependence on constrained indium phosphide laser supply chains as clusters scale further.
The funding matters because AI infrastructure is running into a problem that cannot be solved by buying more accelerators.
