📅 - European data center operators signed 420 MW of AI-focused colocation capacity in the first half of 2026, up from 89 MW a year earlier, according to CBRE. Most of that demand is moving beyond the traditional FLAPD hubs, with neoclouds favoring Nordic markets where renewable power is cheaper, more abundant, and easier to secure at scale commercially.
The fourfold increase is significant not simply because AI companies want more racks.
