According to the company, the new automation suite leverages the Automated Certificate Management Environment (ACME) protocol to enable automatic issuance, validation, and renewal of certificates. Once installed, the system handles the entire lifecycle without requiring manual intervention, eliminating the risk of expired certificates that can lead to browser warnings, broken trust chains, and website downtime. Plans start at $19.99 per year for the RapidSSL Automation Plan, with other options including Sectigo ACME SSL (CaaS) at $25.00 per year, GeoTrust Automation Plan at $79.99 per year, and wildcard automation plans starting at $139.99 per year.

The automation suite supports Domain Validated (DV), Wildcard, and SAN certificates and integrates with platforms such as cPanel, Linux environments (Nginx/Apache), Windows IIS, and multi-cloud infrastructure. It also includes automatic installation and ongoing domain control validation (DCV), which is required more frequently under the new rules. CheapSSLWEB’s Head of Product emphasized that the pricing was intentionally set low to ensure accessibility for smaller teams without dedicated security budgets. ‘Whether it’s a single site or a thousand sites, managing renewals every 47 days is not feasible,’ they said.
