Finnish Telco Elisa Oyj Adopts Google Cloud, Prepares for AI

📅 June 23, 2025 - Google Cloud has deepened its long-running relationship with Finnish operator Elisa Oyj, unveiling an agreement that will push the carrier's network-automation ambitions well beyond today's predictive maintenance dashboards and into the realm of self-governing, ‘agentic' infrastructure.

The multi-year pact positions Elisa as one of the first European telcos to adopt Google Cloud's Autonomous Network Operations blueprint, a reference architecture that combines BigQuery, Spanner, Vertex AI and Gemini-family large language models with an open-source agent framework.
