Only 16% of Corporations on Track for Net Zero by 2050, AI Key [...]

📅 November 11, 2024 - Nearly half (45%) of the biggest companies in the world have witnessed an increase in carbon emissions, while just 16% are on course to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050, according to a new Accenture analysis. To support carbon reduction initiatives both within and across businesses, this analysis emphasizes the urgent need for a wider deployment of cutting-edge technologies, especially artificial intelligence.

The findings are part of Accenture's fourth annual Destination Net Zero report, which assesses emissions data, corporate carbon reduction efforts, and the net-zero commitments of the 2,000 largest global corporations.
