AMD Reports $6.8B Q3 Revenue Driven by Record Data Center Growth

📅 - AMD has announced strong third-quarter results for 2024, reporting $6.8 billion in revenue, a 50% gross margin, $724 million in operating income, and a net income of $771 million. The companys growth was primarily driven by record-breaking performance in its data center segment, which generated $3.5 billion - a 122% increase year-over-year and a 25% sequential rise - fueled by high demand for AMD Instinct GPUs and AMD EPYC CPUs.

AMD Chair and CEO Dr. Lisa Su highlighted AMD's data center products' strengths, pointing out that there is a strong market for both EPYC CPUs and Instinct GPUs.
