Ooredoo Secures $550M to Expand Data Center Business in MENA Region
📅 - To propel the development of its data center and artificial intelligence (AI) business, Ooredoo Group has inked a historic QAR 2 billion (about $550 million) finance transaction. This will allow for a major increase in capacity and the renovation of its data centers.
The finance agreement has been signed by Masraf Al Rayan, Doha Bank, and QNB. The 10-year hybrid facility, which consists of Islamic and commercial tranches, would represent one of the biggest transactions ever completed in the tech sector of Qatar, demonstrating the trust that major financial institutions have in Ooredoos long-term plans.
