Lightium Secures $7M Funding to Tackle AI-Driven Data Center Growth

📅 - Swiss photonics company Lightium has raised $7 million in seed funding to enhance data center performance and reduce energy consumption through its innovative Thin-Film Lithium Niobate (TFLN) Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs). The funding round, led by Vsquared Ventures and Lakestar, aims to accelerate the commercialization of Lightiums foundry services, bringing production-grade TFLN technology to market on an industrial scale.

Lightium was founded by MIT professor Dirk Englund and co-founders Drs.
