Verizon Acquires Frontier in $20B Deal, Expanding Fiber Network

📅 September 5, 2024 - Verizon has announced a formal agreement to acquire Frontier Communications in an all-cash deal valued at $20 billion. The acquisition significantly expands Verizon's fiber network, boosting its reach to 25 million premises across 31 states and Washington, D.C. Frontiers existing customer base of 2.2 million fiber users will be integrated into Verizons network, strengthening Verizon's position in the U.S. broadband market.

The deal is expected to accelerate Verizons ability to provide enhanced connectivity, broadband, and mobility services to both existing and new customers.
